Feeding Plants with Organic Fertilizer

Producing liquid organic fertilizer from organic substratesIn order to produce organic fruits, berries, and vegetables, you must feed your plants with organic fertilizer. Fertilizer is a concoction of elements that a plant requires to sustain itself. These elements are usually referred to as N-P-K, which stands for nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium. These elements can be obtained through processing of fossil fuels. This is where a lot of fertilizer comes from. In fact, modern agriculture can be viewed as the conversion of fossil fuels into food. This may not seem very appealing. After all, fossil fuels are the remains of ancient plant matter and organism flesh. Organic fertilizer does not come from processed fossil fuels. Instead, it can come from compost. A compost tea can be made by soaking compost in water. This produces a liquid organic fertilizer that can be used to feed plants organically. This can produce a very healthy plant that is all organic.
